Helping Other People Everyday
H.O.P.E. is a volunteer organization founded in 1976 and dedicated to serving the less fortunate in our community. Areas served include: Cypress, La Palma, parts of Buena Park & Anaheim.
We hold a food bank two times a month at St. Irenaeus. We provide USDA and non-USDA food, infant supplies, used clothing/ furniture/ appliances and temporary assistance with transportation, shelter, utility bills and medical expenses.
We also provide daily emergency food from the Parish Office for the needy (recipients of emergency food are either enrolled in our program or referred to other food banks for permanent assistance).
How to Help
Our programs are supported by tax deductible donations from individuals, local businesses, schools, food banks, service clubs, parish members and fundraising efforts of our volunteers. In addition to financial contributions, approximately 60 tons of food is donated annually.
